Hi everyone,

New Zealand moved to Level 4 of the Covid-19 alert system from Wednesday 25 March.  Fortunately modern technology allowed us to hold a virtual AGM  as planned on 29 March.

The AGM held on Sunday, 29 March by Skype elected a new committee for 2020 under the leadership of new President Gerard Hudson. The rest of the committee are:
Secretary – Jude Madill
Treasurer – Sarah Duckworth
Committee members – Dominic Rowsell, Don Mackay, Dusty Burnell, Kevin Ikin, Ruth Birnie, Simon Bishop, Sue Harkness

You’ll see many of the 2019 festival committee are continuing and and a few new and returning faces. Great thanks to outgoing committee members and to President Sue Harkness. Sue has chaired the committee for several years of great festivals and has stayed on as a committee member so we will continue to benefit from her knowledge and experience.

We are now working through very uncertain times towards your 2020 festival. It is already clear that the impact of Covid-19 means any 2020 event is likely to be very different from recent festivals. We will keep these newsletters coming as we work out the next steps for 2020.
