The Skiffy Rivets’ songs are diverse, yet somehow seamlessly meld together with the common thread of flowing vocal harmonies and classy playing. The trio sparked in 2015 when Pete Parnham, Holly Carrington, and Sue Tearne discovered just how well their vocals and musical tastes blended.
Pete Parnham is known for his role in the Remarkables and numerous other bands and jam sessions. Sue Tearne and Holly Carrington, who met years ago singing in the Sweet Adelines, have inseparable, twin-like harmonies. In combination with the rhythm and finesse of Pete’s guitar and dobro, the Skiffy Rivets provide a rich tapestry of songs for every mood, a mix of Americana, folk, swing, country and bluegrass.
Their CD Elbow Room showcases the Skiffy Rivets’ eclectic mix of genres and stunning harmonies.
