This year, we’re inviting all the budding poets out there to create a poem about Wellyfest – what you do at the Festival, who you see, how it makes you feel, what the impact is on your life, in general or specifically.
Poems can be in any style but must be no longer than 30 lines.
Judging will be by acclaim at the slam, in The Balladeer, from 2.30pm on Sunday – so make certain all your friends come along to hear you read it out. The prize is to have the winning poem performed at Sunday evening’s showcase concert – either by the writer or read by MC Gary Elford.
Gary will be running a workshop on poetry creation and performance on Saturday, for anyone who thinks they need a bit of help.
