Staying at Brookfields for the weekend is a great way to experience the folk festival and the beautiful New Zealand bush. So why not make a weekend of it and not miss a moment of the folky fun!
Weekend ticket holders have the option of pitching a tent or bringing their van, or can book a bed in one of the unisex, communal bunkhouses.
Whether you are camping under the stars, or settling into a bunk, please be a good neighbour! Everyone is expected to help create a safe and respectful culture at Welly Fest and this includes the accommodation spaces. Please remember that you are responsible for yourself at all times. Camp near your friends or make new ones by getting to know your neighbours.

Camping spots are first come, first served. It is a great time to meet other folkies and share the large open fields, water taps, picnic tables and fire pits, as they are for communal use. We don’t offer water hook-ups or powered sites. There are a number of paddocks around Brookfields that will be open to campers. Feel free to ask gate crew if you have any questions about where the best spot to camp would be based on your needs.

All bunkhouses are unisex shared spaces. Beds will be reserved and allocated by the festival organisers on a first paid, first served basis. We will do our best to accommodate any specials requests or requirements (i.e. a request for a bottom bunk) which we are notified of at the time of booking.
Bunks costs $75 per bunk for the weekend, and these need to be booked in addtion to a weekend festival ticket.

Carparking for those staying in the bunkhouses will be available and well signposted. Tent campers can park their vehicles next to their tents. Please just ensure you are considerate of the space and those camping around you.

Necessities
- If camping, bring somewhere to sleep and shelter – a tent, a van, a motorhome
- If you have booked a bunk, bring sleeping bags/bedding and pillows
- Camping chairs/cushions/rugs – something comfortable to sit on!
- Personal water bottle and camp water tank/jug
- Camping stove/grill if not using the communal kitchens
- Cooking pots, pans and utensils
- Food & drink for the weekend
- Warm clothing and layers, including waterproofs – it can be four seasons in one day!
- Towels and personal toiletries
- Ear plugs (for sleeping or loud performances)
